Chef Robert Wood joined the JBJ Soul Kitchen Family in October 2018 as Executive Chef of the Toms River location. Prior to college and culinary training, Rob served his country for 8 years in the United States Marine Corps. We salute him for his service and dedication to the United States.
Rob received his Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Brookdale Community College and transferred to Pennsylvania College of Technology to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Culinary Arts and Systems. Rob’s various undergraduate accolades include the Chef John Folse Excellence in Hospitality Award and the Aramark Hospitality Award.
In addition to his formal culinary training, Rob’s formal employment includes a variety of positions and experience at Indulge Lounge in Long Branch, NJ, My Kitchen Witch in Monmouth Beach, NJ, the Kentucky Derby, 309 Bistro and Spirits in Edenton, NC, Le Jeune Chef at Penn College and UPMC Susquehanna – Aramark.
