About the Event
Chili Cook-Off
Our Chili Cook-Off has become a local favorite, and we’re so excited to be celebrating 10 years of bringing people together for a fun (and tasty) day in Toms River, NJ. Local first responders will be back at it, competing for the title of Best Chili of the Day — and it’s up to you to decide who takes the win.
It’s a great way to kick off the fall season, enjoy good food, and support JBJ Soul Kitchen’s mission to serve our community.

Will Jon Bon Jovi be at the event?
Jon Bon Jovi has attended the Chili Cook-Off in the past, but his attendance is never guaranteed or expected. We like to remind guests that this event is all about supporting our local first responders and raising awareness for our community-focused mission.
What time should I arrive?
The event starts at 1:00PM, but we recommend arriving around 12:30PM to allow extra time for parking, as spaces are limited.
How are you handling crowd size and parking this year?
Due to overcrowding near the gates and limited parking availability, we’ve reduced the number of tickets this year to keep the event focused on our local community. We want to maintain a comfortable, safe experience for everyone, especially considering parking limitations and overall event capacity. There will be a designated section for entry holders only.
When are tickets available?
Tickets are currently available for purchase in person only at JBJ Soul Kitchen Toms River, with a limit of 6 tickets per customer. A limited number of tickets will be available online starting at the beginning of September.
